iHuman co-director Professor Dan Goodley recently spent three days working with colleagues Professor Geert Van Hove and Dr Elisabeth De Schauwer at the University of Ghent. This was Dan’s final trip this academic year as Visiting Professor; a role which has been crucial to developing two major research bids in the areas of disability & employment and sustainable design for human-non-human abilities. This work seeks to build critical responses to inclusion and disability with a particular focus on the contributions of people with the label of intellectual disabilities. Dan told us:
‘The University of Ghent is renowned for its world-leading research in disability studies and education so it has been a really productive year as iHuman connects with these key research colleagues. We look forward to future collaboration’
